Mission
Statement
Swift & Swift, Attorneys at Law, P.L.L.C., was founded
with the mission of serving all our clients well and equally, but in a unique
way, because we believe that even though all look for positive results, their
interests are as different as the matters they bring to us.
No matter the area of law within our practice that our clients
seek our help in, our goal and mission is to work with them and help them
achieve the best results possible, within the law. Whether our clients are small
or big corporations or individuals, who need to prosecute patents, trademarks,
and copyrights, advice on transactional, corporate issues, antitrust issues, or
individuals with employment issues, immigration, social security and disability
issues, our mission is to deal with each case as a unique case, and find the
best solution that will serve our client’s goals and interests in the
circumstances. We have found that this goal has proved to serve both our clients
and us well.
How
we work
Our firm understands that every client owns their case.
However, we also understand that when a client retains us, they want us to play
an important role in their case. So, we aspire to work with our clients in the
most collaborative way we could with them, towards achieving a successful
solution. Because we believe this is a right and balanced approach, we take the
time to explain to our clients the benefits and possible problems that may
arise, if such required cooperation from them is lacking.
Having our clients work cooperatively with us, means that they
are always following the process, understand what is going on and are up-to-date
with what has been done and what needs to be done. They understand that our role
has boundaries and cannot be open-ended. To our clients’ and our satisfaction,
this collaborative way of delivering legal services has positively set us apart
from other small law firms.
Paying
for our Services
We charge our clients fees for our services. We only charge
our clients for services rendered. The fees we charge our clients are earned
based on the value of services we have rendered them, taking into account the
nature, complexity and difficulty of work needed to be done, the time taken to
do it, and the level of expertise required and put into doing the work. Our fee
arrangements vary depending on the individual case. Our practice is to discuss
with our clients how they intend to finance their case and work out a
comfortable fee scheme or schedule that will serve both parties’ interests,
whether we take a case on contingency, fixed amount or hourly rate basis. Our
retainer fees are also set on case by case basis.
